This shop specializing in the magical arts, was opened in 1881 by Joaquim Partagàs. Since 1984, the historic spot has been run by Josep Maria Martínez and Rosa Maria Llop, who in 2002 founded the Theatre–Museum, Barcelona’s only space specially dedicated to the art of illusion. In tribute to the proprietors’ heritage, the venue hosts training and entertainment events that embrace the amazing world of magic, exploring illusion as a means of expression, and bringing inimitable enchantment to the city.
